1. Starts as gentle rolling ride through Worcesterhire for first 8 miles and then turns into a heart breaker as you climb out of the Teme Valley towards Tenbury Wells. Unless you're an accomplished climber this is one where you'll need to walk on occassion. Downhill stretch to Tenbury provides beautiful panorama across to Wales. Tenbury is nice place to stop.
Once past Tenbury follow route out towards Leominster - another killer climb awaits - and then veer off the main drag. You'll hit a series of short ups and sweeping downs.
When you hit Bromyard road, the going remains tough with a series of uphill grinds followed by some down hills. Long downhill into Bromyard. Again worth stopping. Out of Bromyard is major long grind which goes on and on. Tops out and then generally rolling country until your back in Worcester. The scale of hills and %inclines makes this a really tough ride. |
