| 1. This a 21-mile circuit. Obviously it can start anywhere, but I begin in Forest Hill (SE23), going through Lower Sydenham, Downham, Bromley, West Wickham, Shirley, Croydon and Crystal Palace before a nice descent home.
There are a few little hills but nothing to get too worried about.
The road surfaces are generally good, apart from a couple of nasty potholes in Croydon.
Traffic-wise, it's not too bad. It can get a bit tight at the traffic lights between Lower Sydenham and Downham, and you have to keep your wits about you near Fairfield Hall in Croydon. |
