1. A 40 mile circular combining good A roads, gentle rolling landscape and quiet country lanes, with some beautiful scenery. The route gets quieter as you get further along. NOTE: Kings Wood Road can retain flood water long after the rain has gone, and is a little 'agricultural'. Plus, there is a short sharp kick in the teeth towards the end on Abbey Lane.
Landmarks/Sites to see?
Lots of places to stop and eat no matter where you start the route. The cafe/restaurant at the old garden centre in Braithwell is popular with cyclists. Otherwise, plenty in Tickhill, Bawtry and Blyth |
