| 1. Circular route starting at Wideopen (just of Sandy Lane). Head along the bridleway through the Weetslade Country Park onto the Reivers cycle route and follow this until you reach the Silverlink. Head West on the track through Battlehill and towards the Rising Sun Country Park. Cross the A186 and head towards the Newcastle Utd training ground. From here head through a newish housing estate across Red Hall Drive and join the Coxlodge Wagonway to the double roundabouts at South Gosforth. Head north up the A189 and take a left just after you pass under a bridge - this will take you over a singletrack bridge into a housing estate. Peel off to the right onto a track that takes you alongside a golf course. Follow this till it ends where you pass through a housing estate before coming onto Great North Road. Head North towards Sandy Lane back to the starting point |
