Cycle Steps
1. Head East on main street and up past the castle - follow road through Embleton, and ignore any r turns which take you onto A66, until the road bends fairly sharply left - You take the right, although it feels like you are going ahead. Takes you to crossroads on A66 - go across and take next right, and then following right. Follow up hill towards Whythop. Follow this road all the way and eventually you reach a crossroads a B road. Go across, heading to Eaglesfield. You reach another crossroads at a A road, with school on left on the corner. Go straight ahead, through the village, and follow the road through to Brigham. T junction in village turn left - ignore signs to Cockermouth and head through the village. eventually you come to the A66 - briefly turn right then on your left is a snicket onto Brigham road in Cockermouth - follow to the end and turn left and head back into town. Good for short ride for newer riders, or quick before/after work blast for others
