Cycle Steps
1. A good length ride with some long straights for speed and some gentle twisting hills for a bit of a grunt. Starting at the Fort, you cycle along the Cam, leaving the river path as you enter Stourbridge Common. Veering right alongside the play park, you turn right and head up to the Newmarket Road. 100m and then turn left after the Leper Chapel. Straight ahead taking a right hand path through the common that brings you onto Fen Ditton Road. Left into Fen Ditton and then right on to High Ditch Road. Rejoin the Newmarket Road until a hidden left takes you under the A14 and up to Stow cum Quy Church. Over the road and head towards Newmarket (NOT the A14). After a couple of miles, turn right towards Six Mile Bottom. Long, straight road all the way there, right on to the main road, and then left towards West Wratting. Stick to the road, turning to Balsham, then Fulbourn and then back via Cherry Hinton into Cambridge. At the top of Hills Road, turn right, and then diagonally across Parkers Piece, left and then right onto Clarendon Street, straight ahead past Fitzroy Street, back on to Midsummer Common and finish for a celebratory pint at the Fort.
