1. Initially quite a flat route, this has plenty of hills in the second half to keep beginner and intermediate cyclists working hard. I am a fairly fit 49 yr old beginner, so found it quite challenging, but I managed to finish it without injury in two and three quarter hours.
There are some spectacular views across the moors and along many hidden valleys which would be missed by motorists. An absolutely beautiful part of the World, which I am very happy to live in.
As most of this ride is designed to be off the beaten track, some of the route is a bit lumpy/bumpy, so ride with some caution.
Additionally, there are opportunities to cut the ride short if required, albeit using main roads at times. |
