1. Head out from Gedling towards Stoke Bardolph and follow the river for a short while. Through Burton Joyce and on to Lowdham and Caythorpe. Ride along a stretch of the River Trent again before heading to Bleasby. A nice cafe stop in Bleasby not far from the level crossing. Proceed toward Fiskerton and Easthorpe. Follow road for a few miles until reaching the bus terminus in Farnsfield and take a left turn. Aim at Blidworth taking CAUTION crossing the A614. Bonner Hill is the first real climb followed shortly by another drag Banks hill. A quick stop at the Travellers rest maybe needed but nearly done. Down Catfoot Lane before climbing Spring Lane out of Lambley back to Mapperley Plains. A nice drop into Gedling down Arnold Lane to finish the ride the church being in view from the top of the hill. Ride round the corner after finishing and grab a pint from the Chesterfield Arms | |
