| 1. 37kms = 23miles consisting of canal towpaths, roads & bridleways. Suggest clockwise.
A fairly simple ride that needs little extra explanation.
First possible stop is the Wood Farm Brewery after 14k. After a further 1.5k turn right to Newnham Fields Farm (look for big white sign) then follow the suggested route towards Monks Kirby.
Second possible stop is the Malt Kiln Farm Shop just after you go over the motorway brige.
Continuing the route, turn right by old telephone kiosk but roll your socks up and sleeves down for the nettles and brambles! then continue the route as published.
Final stop is back at The Greyhound for one (or more) well earned beers.
There is a shorter route - after the Malt Kiln Farm via Rolls-Royce at Ansty then Walsgrave then Woodway Lane to rejoin the canal but I'll publish that another time |
