| 1. City to Countryside route here. It's not overly long but will get a little lumpy as you head out towards Elsdon via Winters Gibbet. You turn east not long after the village of Elsdon and head via Longframlington & Widdrington to the coast near Druridge. From here it's a lovely jaunt down the Northumberland Coastline to Tynemouth before heading back to Shields. The route flattens out once you hit the coast, although watch out for those North Sea winds, it can make a lovely day out a hard slog! | |
