Cycle Steps |
1. Start in Stanpit Car Park and ride through to Christchurch Marina on lanes/pathways. Some roads to be negotiated through Christchurch town over the two main narrow bridges where traffic can be heavy.
Ride round to the rear of the Medieval Christchurch Priory and through to the harbour, and on via the pretty village of Wick. Go on past Solent Meads pitch and putt golf course to the Hiker Cafe (but make sure you call in on the way back) through the rich wildlife marches to the sand dunes (and expensive beach huts) to the end of Hengistbury Head where you will be opposite the Quay.
Don't forget to take your binoculars, and camera for some stunning scenic views as well as the wildlife. A shortish ride on level surfaces throughout but very rewarding. |

Landmarks/Sites to see? |
Hiker's Cafe by the large car park en route serves excellent food and drink, but is busy at weekends all year and most days in Spring through to Autumn.
