| 1. Great cycling route, especially for road bikes! Roads are extremely quiet apart from Union street etc. Not to mention, some of the best quality road surfaces I've seen in Scotland, now that outlandish comment is saying something! There is a steep climb to start with, a bit tough, however throughout it is mostly flat/slightly undulating, as you would expect. Good descent into Stonehaven! Going the same way back, the decent to Holburn street is quality! Would highly recommend! The round trip is quite long so maybe not for the beginner cyclist, maybe just to Stonehaven and get the train back? Something to think about. |
