At Lock 27 you can stop for a meal/pint. Then there are the locks at Maryhill with views across to the Kilpatrick Hills. Crossing over high above Maryhill Rd and the traffic below, soon after you pass a Rennie Mackintosh Church on the right. There are barges and boats at Spiers Wharf and old warehouses converted to flats at the Dundas leg of the journey. Look out for swans, ducks, coots, cormorants and heron all along the route. And lots of people with children and dogs enjoying the space. Beautiful. |
