| 1. Starting and finishing at Henry Wells Square, Hemel Hempstead. This 46 mile ride ride takes us into the surrounding countryside along Cupid Green Lane. Turn left into Red Lion Lane for a long downhill cruise until we reach the Leighton Buzzard Road. Turn right, then 2nd left into Nettledon Road. At the T Junction, turn left remaining on Nettledon Road until you reach the crossroads. Take a sharp right passing Berkhamsted Golf course and Ashridge House along the way. At the end, turn left Back onto Nettledon Road heading towards Ashridge/Ivinghoe. At the T Junction turn left then right heading towards Ivinghoe Beacon. Stay on this road until the end going over 2 cattle grids. Turn left onto the B489, vehicles can go fast along here so take care. Right at the end heading through Ivinghoe and Pitstone. Head through Bulbourne and past Tring Junior school turning left onto Station Road and then right into Beggars Lane. Left heading towards and through Aldbury village and onto the first real climb, Toms Hill Road. Left past Ashridge Monument, down the long winding road, across the B440 and up quite a climb towards Whipsnade Golf course. The ride then travels through Studham, and Kensworth before reaching Dunstable Downs where we turn right and head along the country roads back towards Grove Hill, Hemel Hempstead |
