A hilly route with 1500m of vertical. Depart from Earlswood Railway Station in Redhill up past Redhill Common and along the A25 to Box Hill in Dorking. From here you cover all the major climbs of the Surrey Hills including a 21% climb in Cranleigh and the well known Surrey mecca of cycling, Box Hill. This route uses all the major climbs used in the Full-On-Tri Clubs "Legs of Steel" cyclosportive.

The only bit I don't like of this is the route up Pebble Hill. It is a busy road with blind bends. I would suggest the better way up is the Box Hill Zig zag and then along the top and back around Headley

Or another route is along the old Reigate Road, at teh end you turn right onto the old Boxhill Road, it winds it way up the hill in much the same way as the zih zag. The only traffic you will meet is tractors. Much to far for me to ride, I managed 10 miles today and thought I am now a long distance rider.
