Epic cycle to help me train for the ride London and if you're Guildford/Surrey baed it might be worth looking at as it takes in Box hill, Leith Hill with an additional climb out of Dorking. Essentially it's Guildford-Woking-Chertsey-Sundbury-Hampton-Bushy Park-Richmond Park anti clockwise-Surbiton-Chessington-Leatherhead-Box Hill-Dorking-Shere-Peaslake-Leith Hill-Forest Green-Ewhurst-Cranleigh-Shamley Green-Guildford. Some busy roads in and around Richmond Park and Chessington. The 1st part of the ride is relativeley flat and easy going, Richmond Park has a few spikes especially Sawyers Hill, the 2nd part is much hillier with Box Hill, Ranmore Road and Leith Hill all providing a Challenge, Forest Green to Cranleigh is also pretty undulating with some tough bits. |

Landmarks/Pubs for lunch/Sites to see? | |
This route goes through some busy towns so plenty of bike shops especially in Kingston and Dorking. Richmond Park is a landmark in itself. Also the climbs in the Hills are punishing but beautiful. |
