leaving Rothwell, heading towards Swillington. after going over the river Aire in woodlesford turn left onto Bullerthorpe Lane. continue up hill (approx 300 yds) towards Newsham Green Road turn right. follow the road until you reach the roundabout cross over (dont go on the motorway) and continue on the new duel carriage way all the way along Pontefract Lane. follow the A61 and head towards Leeds city centre follow the one way system (the loop.) Go past the Queens hotel on your left and go along Wellington Street. go past the Yorkshire Post building and head onto Kirkstall Road. go past Yorkshire TV on your right and turn left at the traffic lights. Head up towards Armley and again straight on at the next set of lights go slighty up hill turn right and immediatley left onto Wesley road. go to the end and turn left (church on the corner). Take your 1st right onto Amberley road and follow this to the mini roundabout. turn right head up hill and turn left at the next mini roundabout onto Dixon Lane. Drop downhill and the turn right onto Whitehall road. Head towards the round about. go straight over and then up hill still on Whitehall Road for approx 2.2 miles. At the traffic lightes pub on the right head into Gildersome and follow the main road until your come to another set of traffic lights and then straight on. follow Asquith Ave to the end and turn right at the mini roundabout and left at the next mini roundabout, drop downhill slightly and turn right at the lights. After a short but steep uphill climb turn left onto Queen Street your now in Morley after 200yds (no motor vehicles allowed) head to the end of Queen street turn left onto Fountain street and then immediately right. Follow the road uphill and to the right.At the roundabout turn left onto Bridge street go to the very end and at the traffic lights turn right onto the A650. Go along the A650 over the M62 Motorway. at the roundabout either follow the crossing system or if your brave follow the road through the middle of the intersection and carry on along the A650. at the next set of traffic lights turn right onto Thorpe Lane. follow Thorpe Lane for approx 2 miles and turn left onto Thorpe lane Lower. follow this road right upto the traffic lights (outside the Halfway House Pub). Turn left onto Leeds Road and then carry on along here through the first set of traffic lights and at the next turn right onto Wood Lane. Follow Wood lane until you come to a fork in the road turn left onto Haigh Road. After 200 yds are your back. |
