| From Southport head out on the main ormskirk road then diverrt via lanes through Shirdley Hill and then make to Haskayne. Cut across the moss to the Formby bypass and then head south for a short distance before turning off and heading east for Ormskirk. Follow the road and then after Hillhouse sewage works turn off on to Acre Lane. this lane to its end in Lydiate and turn right on to the main road. At the roundabout turn left and keep on this lane until the roundabout at the end on A59. Turn left and head up the hill towards Ormskirk. Stay on the road until the outskirts of Burscough. Turn left at the signs for Burscough Industrial Estate. Keep on this road to Bescar village and then turn on Bescar Lane. Before the station turn left and then stay on this lane all the way to Churchtown (signed). |
