Head out towards the north end of Southport on the A565 and take the Banks Road and go through Banks. You wil be on quiet country lanes with little or no traffic all the way to Tarleton. From Tarleton head towards Burscough, going through Rufford on the way. This stretch takes in the quite busy, but reasonably straight A59 road. Through Burscough, turn right at Beaufort hotel onto the B5242. You ar now back onto country roads again, all the way back to Southport. | |
