This is a 40K/25mile route to spin the legs. From the village, head out towards Walton Gardens on Chester Road. Bear left towards the gardens and golf club, turning left over the canal bridge at The Walton Arms. Follow this road to the top of the hill through Hatton passing the Hatton arms, continue round the left-hand bend and hit timetrial mode for the next mile or so. At the the lights do a right and left and again time trial until you reach Appleton. Here you will turn right towards Arley. Follow this road until you see Barbers Lane on your right following a long straight. Follow this road to Antrobus where you will turn left. This pedal turning road will bring you to a T-junction where you will go left again. Follow this to the next T-junction, you will see a pond on your right. Turn left here, stay right otherwise you will end up in Arley Gardens and continue for approx 1 mile before you turn left on Cann Lane, this will take you to High Legh. Here you will turn left but first right to follow the road down and over the M56. At this point turn left, heading for Lymm down Croutchey Lane. Continue past the rugby club, dropping to a T-junction where you turn left, past the Dam and start to drop down the hill. Before crossing the canal take a bear left and continue until you reach a T-junction where you will turn right on the cobbles and under the canal. Here you will hit Knutsford road, turn right heading back to Stockton Heath. Enjoy |
