There is a lay-by on the A246 just by the Bell and Colville garage which is good for parking. The first 7 miles or so are pretty flat to get a decent warm-up. The route is deliberately quite hilly. There is a fair bit of climbing but also a lot of fast downhill to reward those long slogs going up!

There is a cafe at Squires garden centre about 1/4 mile from the start/finish. There are numerous cafes on route - notably Box Hill, Coldharbor and Newlands Corner. |

brilliant route, thanks very much. I'm just starting on cycling any sort of distance and I found this route perfect. Lots of countryside roads with very little time spent on main roads, 2 very challenging hills but really enjoyable.
