| The 1st few miles up to Emley TV mast is quite a challenge but is worth it for the views! The next few miles are downhill or flat so good recovery time to take in the scenery, before another steady climb to the top of Shepley. Nice fast downhill takes you to a some short sharp climbs to Stocksmoor, before descending again thru Thunderbridge and back towards Kirkburton. | |

| Unfortunately The Swan has closed but there are some very nice welcoming pubs enroute, and even an ice-cream cafe at Shelley! TryCycling shop is situated in Kirkburton Village. There are some Sustrans Bike trails enroute but some are quite a challenge and not required as most roads are quiet country roads. 1.5 hrs without too much strain! |
