I've cycled in this area for many years and find the going extremely easy. There are several good pubs along this route and several place to stop. One good place is by the canal bridge in Barnby Dun.

A good spot to stop and watch any canal traffic passing and watch the bridge lift. There are many additions off the route to add a few more miles and a change of scenery the next time you cycle it.
