A very pretty route (the short trip along the A27 to Lewes excluded), and one of the few shorter country cycles available around here to those without mountain bikes. The route does include scaling the Ditchling Beacon however, which can be pretty unpleasant if the traffic's heavy but luckily that seems rare. It takes me about an hour and a half but would probably take 2 hours if you were slowing down to enjoy the sights.

Great route, as an alternative take Offham road from the centre of Lewes instead of Neville Road, it has a very nice view off to the right put perhaps a little more traffic. Also, to anyone thinking of taking this route, do not underestimate the climb to Ditchling Beacon, its pretty darn physical. Thanks!
