County Waterford is located in the south of Ireland in the Munster province. The volcanic coastline of county Waterford has over 30 beaches. The county is home to two mountain ranges, Comeragh Mountains and Knockmealdown Mountains, as well as a number of rivers including the Munster Blackwater and the River Suir. The county also houses a number of old religious buildings including Molana Abbey on Dair Inis island on the Munster Blackwater river, which dates back to the 6th Century.
