This is a much easier version of the original Sustrans C to C (C2C). It avoids most of the busy roads. The C2C is usually done as a weekend package and many consider it a cycle holiday.

Beautiful scenery, really enjoyed it. Done it 3 days with my son aged 10 and daughter aged 8. And completed it in 2 days with my hubby.

Fantastic weekend from whitehaven to sunderland. Shout out to Arragons cycle shop in Penrith, and North Pennine cycles in Nenthead, absolutely fantastic, knowledgeable, friendly and very very helpful, and a great price too. Shops like that make the bike ride much easier regards steve

What a fantastic experience. 1st day Whitehaven to Penrith. Steady ride with a few moderate hills and beautiful countryside. 2nd day Penrith to Rookhope this takes in the harder terrain up and over Hartside and Carrigill phew! with the most amazing veiws. day 3 the hard climb out of Rookhope gets you ready for the Waskerly way down to Sunderland what a relief. wouldn`t have missed this for anything Brilliant!
