I regularly cycle from Chiswick to Epsom and back. This overlaps with the part of your journey between Richmond Park and Worcester Park. May I suggest 2 alternative routes for this part of the journey? 1.) Instead of turninig right off Malden Rd, you can continue straight (road becomes Coombe then Traps Lane). Becomes a steep hill in the end and you can cross over into an estate (cars can't do this), which then leads you out onto Richmond Hill and you cross over and enter Richmond Park through Ladderstile Gate. 2.) You could continue further down Malden Road, and when it becomes Coombe, right after the Shell garage, take a right (again, cars can't do this as it is a cul de sac) and continue straight through a gravel path at the end of the road, which lesds you onto a road adjacent to the A3. Follow this unutl you get to Richmond Park. I am currently doing this option and I find it the best of the 3 (i.e. your route and my 2 routes). Hope this helps. | ||
