| follow the route towards b&q in stechford and enter the field opposite, the route predominantley follows the river cole. Cycle across the filed where eventually you join a path, this will take you to the road at yardley rugby club. Cross the road and enter the next field, follow this track until you come to babbs mill, turn right and then left to follow the lake. Continue along the path until you come to another road, cross to the left hand side of the bridge and join the path onto the next field, here you will go past Asda in Chelmsley wood and continue until the bridge, turn right across the bridge and leave the field at the Bell pub. Cross the road and enter sheldon country park cylce past the airport and follow to the adventure playground where you leave the park and go up Ragley drive, the rest of the route is by road. The route is a circuit and so can be picked up anywhere along the loop. A nice ride, plenty of wildlife and next to no traffic to worry about. Can be a bit muddy! |
