Cycle Steps
Leaving Dartford Station turn right into Hythe Street, passing under the Railway bridge - Cross over Victoria Road and continue on. Hythe Street around 200 yards you will see a path on the right follow it over the River Darent you then pass industral buildings and a T junction.

Turn left in to Central Road, passing the Arriva Bus Depot, on your left. a little further the road bears left - DONT follow, continue straight on past the Glaxo works on a road and then a path until you almost arrive at Univerity Way, A206. -

Just before the A206 You will see a road to your right, Joyce Green Lane turn right. around 100 yards you will see a bus & cycle only route onto a new development, follow the bus route A past Little Brook Power Station and on to a new bus & cycle route over the A282 over the Dartford crossing to Crossway Boulevard (A206) you follow this along to the ASDA store at Greenhithe or you can cycle around Galleon Bvd & Clipper Bvd for a less traffic returing to the A206 further along.

At the rountabout turn left opposite Greenhithe Station into Station Road and High Street, Greenhithe, (B255) and up a short hill unit you meet the A226. cross over into Knockhall Chase, at the turn right into Knockhall Road, continue to the end, turn left into Mount Road, and left into Alkerden Road ubtil you arrive at Swanscombe.

Then follow the cycle route signs through to Church Road, turn into Stanhope Road (B259) until you see a new cycle way on the left - Follow this over the bridge next to Ebbsfleet station. The cycle path come out onto Thames Way A206. follow this road for around 3 miles until you arrive at a roundabout, the A206 goes right, we go straight on to Rosherville Way.

At the T junction, turn right along Crete Hall Road, The Shore and Clifton Marine, you will see a cycle path along the Riverside you are now on National cycle route 1. You now follow route 1 from here on through, Gravesend, Milton, the cycle path next to the Railway line to Canal Road, Lower Higham, Lower Rochester Road, Two Gates Hill, Bunters Hill Road, Common Road, Haven Street, Lee Green Road, Woodfields Way, Upchat Road, Upper Upnor Village, The path next to the Medway Tunnel, Anthonys Way, Whitwall Road, Commissioners Road, Winggrove Road, Canal Road, Strood Station, Rochester Bridge, A2 Corporation Street, Gas House Lane, then turn right after 50 yards you will see the entrance to the new Rochester Riverside cycle way, follow this around to the end at Doust Way and rejoin the A2 High Street. At the end of the High Street, turn into Medway Street, passing Staples.

Turn left and on your left is a car park and next to that is Chatham Riverside the end of the route.
