This route is great for those who like rides without hills and rough terrain. Starting at Exeter St Davids Railway Station, the route takes you along the river, through Exeter, and then out towards the M5. Taking the right hand side of th Exe, the route later takes you to a fantastic view of Topsham, Lympstone, Exmouth, and the rolling hills and countryside.

A great route for starting cyclists and drinkers alike. You can also extend this route to Dawlish or Teignmouth really easily. At the turf, use the footpath through the gate towards the end of the estuary (cycle friendly i think) to go over the rail lines, through Starcross, through Cockwood, through Dawlish Warren, turn into the carpark at the end of the high street, and you can get to Dawlish along the sea wall over the railway tracks (possibly not bike friendly but spectacular nonetheless). Its about 25 miles return to Dawlish.
