| Lovely ride. Good distance and the terrain is fairly gentle with some minor undulations and only one serious climb coming out of the Knatt's Valley. On the face of it, this ride looks like it might be busy, being close to the motorways, but in fact, it's actually very quiet indeed. The scenery is lovely and the sheltered single track lanes go through some of Kent's old hop farming areas. Numerous lovely views and a couple of nice pubs are sprinkled en route (Shoreham etc) where you can grab refreshment. Highly recommended. Especially if you live in South London as the relatively quick train goes from Charing Cross through Peckham, Nunhead etc and can be traveled on using an oyster card. Perfect. | ||
