This is a road route, mainly on A and B roads, that is ideal for a circuit training run. The route starts in Chevening Road, B2211, approx. 1/4 mile North of Sundridge, A25 crossroads (traffic lights). Follow Chevening Rd north over the M25, where it sweeps round to the right and becomes OvendenRd. Go over the crossroads and the B2211 becomes Sundridge Rd. Follow this as it tracks alongside the M25 to the Star Hill roundabout. Go straight over (2nd exit) onto Polhill, A224 and follow this up to the Badgers Mount roundabout. Head straight over (3rd exit) onto the Orpington by-pass, still A224, and follow this to the M25 Spur, Hewitts roundabout. Take the 1st exit onto Wheatsheaf Hill and follow this to the London Road junction where you take a left. Follow the road back to the Badgers Mount Roundabout. By taking the 1st exit, back onto the Orpington by-pass, A224, you can complete a further circuit of the top loop (obviously this will change the time and distance dependant on the number of times you take the loop). If you wish to return to the start, on return to the Badgers Mount roundabout, take the 3rd exit down Polhill, A224, and return by outward route. |
